Regional Coxswain Deck course to finish off 2024.

SMT aims to help individuals gain the qualifications they need to succeed in their roles and enhance their skills within the maritime and aquaculture industry.

The St. Helens Coxswain’s Deck Course ran from November 18th to 22nd, with Seafood and Maritime Training (SMT) providing vital regional support to communities across Tasmania.

SMT trainer and assessor Nadia Durrance spent the week in St. Helens, equipping learners with essential skills such as vessel handling, motor operation, seamanship techniques, adherence to safety regulations, and environmental best practices.
